Overall, I was disappointed in this book, but maybe another person will like it so give it a try. I feel like there wasn’t any suspense or thrill while reading it. I just read it to kinda be done with it but I’m glad I finished it otherwise I would’ve been more disappointed. Aside from that, the rest of the story didn’t interest me. I was shocked.😅 Did not think of that at all. However, I have to admit there’s one thing I didn’t see coming related to Adam(at the very end). Also, it was obvious where things were going, and was easy to kinda guess the outcomes. Every now and then we kinda get thrown back into the past and learn a few things about when Rose was sick and that’s all. Don’t get me wrong it was kind of dark and bizarre especially Rose’s life after her mom went to jail. To be more direct I did not enjoy this book.😑 I’ve heard great things about it, so I decided to give it a try, however, the story did not turn out how I expected it along with the things I thought would make me excited to read it. Rose was the one to testify against her mother.

We get Patty’s point of view when she gets released from jail five years later and then Rose Gold’s life after her mother went to jail five years ago.
